Ambassadors
The role of the Ambassadors is to represent and promote the Chamber at Chamber sponsored and community events. An Ambassador targets and benefits for others are, mentoring and introduction, and Committee growth and enthusiasm for the Group. Some of their duties include greeting, networking, delivering plaques, attending ribbon cuttings and mixers. Meets every third Friday of the month from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce Conference Room. To be announced in “The Source” and through email or fax.
Events
This Committee discusses ways and ideas to improve Chamber Events. The Events Committee helps the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce with major fund-raising events every year including Chairman’s Awards Dinner, The Eliminator, and “Hot August Nights.” Meetings to be announced.
Government Relations
This Committee is charged by the Board to be the vehicle by which the Chamber creates an atmosphere of accountability of the elected officials to the business community and our members. The committee assists with the formation of the Political Action Committee and assists with the Candidates Forum. Our policy allows the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce to support the California Chamber and the U.S. Chamber on pro-business issues. Legislative Action
This Committee reviews all legislation affecting small business and makes recommendation to the membership. Meets every second Wednesday of the month from 4:30 p.m.-5:30p.m. at the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce Conference Room. To be announced in “The Source” and through email or fax.
Member Services
This Committee focuses on ways and ideas to come up with more products and services and to give new members better communication when they join and throughout their membership. Retains and recruits members through membership drives, member benefit programs and member awareness and focuses on ways to make our General Membership Luncheons fit our member’s needs. Our members walk away from the luncheons with specific ways to make money or improve their business. Topics include employer/employee relations, human resources, government issues, accounting, promotion, sales, etc. The approximate amount currently attending the monthly General Membership Luncheons is 115 members. Meets every second Tuesday of the month from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at DiNapoli’s Firehouse Italian Eatery. Announced in “The Source” and through email or fax.

Leadership
This Committee finds and recruits people to join the Leadership Sessions. The Leadership Class seeks out potential community leaders and helps educate them for positions of responsibility. Acquaints individuals with regional and local problems and opportunities. Provides a network base for future community leaders and volunteers to meet with and learn from community leaders. Opportunities for serious involvement in the community affairs will be provided. Improves regional understanding of various economic, social and political forces. Encourages the placement of program graduates in key community leadership and volunteer positions. Seven sessions are held at a site associated with the topic. The Apple Valley Leadership Connection is also an outstanding program to acquaint new employees with the culture, challenges and opportunities in our community.
